Nature and Environmental Submissions

Are you interested in writing nature books? If yes, we want to hear from you. This is a growing niche area and we are happy to work with published authors as well as those who are yet to publish a book. Our ethos is simple. We care about the environment and nature and we wish to spread the word to others. We will consider submissions for adults, children and teenagers in the following nature and environment categories:

  • Environmental issues
  • Wildlife gardening
  • Bird watching
  • Rescue and rehabilitation
  • Climate change
  • Conservation
  • Eco-activism
  • Diaries of naturalists etc.

We are happy to discuss your ideas if your book concept falls outside of these areas. We are looking for authors who are experts in their subjects or well-informed with excellent writing skills and who can bring their observations about nature to the written word. If you can write in a compelling way that captures your passion for nature, then, we want to hear from you.

Please note the following age ranges:

Age 9-12 – middle grade chapter books – fiction and non-fiction

Age 13-18 – teen and young adult chapter books – fiction and non-fiction

Adult – fiction and non-fiction

Our ethos is simple. We wish to educate, inform and encourage children, teenagers, and adults to value the natural world. We believe it is important to provide a sense of realism but to offer hope, to provide solutions and to drive positive change. We do not preach, we inform.

You do not have to be a scientist to write for us, but you do need to love nature and to know your chosen topic well. You must have excellent writing and research skills and be open to guidance.

Please contact us with your idea. Outline your idea in an email but note that we only require one or two paragraphs at this stage. Please do not send sample chapters until you hear back from us. We need to know the age range for your intended book, how much experience you have in this niche, and why you want to write this book.

If we like the idea, we will ask to see the opening chapter. This does not constitute a contract.

We want to work with passionate authors. Your enthusiasm for your chosen subject is important to us. Send your email to and write Nature Book Idea in the subject line.
